What is BS3882 Certification for Topsoil
Topsoil is a vital component of most landscaping and planting projects. The range of applications is increasing, for example as we learn to manage rainwater using landscape features that soak up and retard runoff.
BS 3882 on the specification for topsoil covers natural and manufactured topsoils that are moved or traded, not topsoils remaining in situ. It specifies requirements both for multipurpose topsoil, fit for the majority of needs, and for specialist topsoils that have low fertility or are acidic or calcareous.

Why should you use BS 3882 - Specification for topsoil?
BS 3882 includes information on sampling and analysis and gives guidance on handling and site preparation so that soil is not degraded during excavation, delivery, or placement.
Why do you sell bulk and loose items online?
We are taking steps to get our products online as most other are. Our bulk items require special handling and usually home delivery in one of our large trucks, so in this way we can coordinate our deliveries and provide our customers with the best experience when purchasing these bulk items. Our Bulk bags carry roughly 1m3 of material, and the weight of that differs depending upon the material. In some cases, ordering loose material to be delivered in a grab or tipper truck may be a better alternative.
Why do you have different prices for larger quantities?
With bulk delivery items such as aggreggate, soil and other loose products, it is more cost effective to order and deliver larger quantities, so we have made sure our pricing structure reflects this.
What are your Haulage Rates?
Our haulage rates are based on where you are located and the disctance from our depot. We check your shipping postcode against our rate charge and charge the haulage fee accordingly.

Is Free Shipping only available for online purchases?
Our haulage rates are based on location that is checked during the checkout process. If you are outside our normal delivery area, we would ask that you contact us for further details and we’ll try to accommodate you as best we can. Free shipping will only be available for locations close to our main depot.

Who is eligible for Free Shipping?
Clicking on CALCULATE SHIPPING allows you to enter an address and postcode to see what the haulage cost for your order will be.
What if I forget my account password?
There is a password recovery tool on the log in page, so should you forget your password, if you have provided a correct email address, a new password can be sent to you.
Does it cost anything to create an account?
Creating an account is competely free, and allows you to review past orders, quickly repeat an order, and save delivery information. We never save any credit card details.
